meh... not a fan of the heroine...she was a little too spineless for me.we get very little from the Hero's point of view, so I didn't really have an opionion of him either way. Also, for such a short story (it took me a little over an hour to read), there were far too many secondary characters...Although Ms Marsden did an admirable job making me want to slap a character in such few pages...As far as the story goes...there's not much of it. However there's a lot of dialogue. A lot, a lot, which considering how little actually happens was surprsing. So, despite the synopsis, which makes The Anniversary Party sound really good, it really doesn't deliver, and IMO is better skipped altogether.
