So I wanted to write a review for this, but I'll be honest and say I'm not entierly sure how I managed to finish it, or why i never put it down...It's not that it was bad, it's just the writing style was hard to get used to. If you're considering giving this a shot, can i strongly suggest reading an excerpt or two?The characters were numerous. At one point I think i confused two characters, one a not so bad guy and a bad guy, it made for some irritating reading! The main H and h, were okay, but thinking back we don't learn a lot about either one...or rather what we learn about them is all very vague. And too many secondary characters, kept having to remind myself who each one was!The more I think about it though, i think it was the setting, more of industrial England (my guess would be the late 1800's, early 1900's), the introduction of horseless carriges, and the women's suffrage movement... that really kept me reading...I didn't read the plot summary going in, so I wasn't expecting it, but the time period and all the descriptions pretty much stole my attention..but the story itself...meh. I sorta feel bad ending this review there, but for me, anyway, there's not a whole lot to add. 3 stars.
