Tattered Love (Needle's Kiss #1)

Tattered Love (Needle's Kiss #1) - Lola Stark So i like Ls's writing stlye, and I liked the idea for Tattered Love but felt like the book didn't really live up to its' synopsis. And maybe it was just me, but it also felt like it was all over the damn place. My number one issue was with the characterization especially in regards to the heroine: she's supposed to be this tough-as-nails, non girly, tomboy, bad ass chick, but holy hell was she annoying! She came off as the most high maintenance heroine, i just wanted the H to move on to someone a little less highly strung! And she was so stereotypical in her non-girly ness...no pink, of fluffy anything, love songs are bad, but then she was the most stereotypical girl In other areas...the love of heels, and sexy undies...I feel like she was supposed to be well rounded, but it just came of as irritating to me. And the H was supposedly some bad ass former special ops alpha, but holy crap was he a pansy assed whiner. And there were a few continuity issues like, one second the H was in spec ops for 6 years, later it's 10 ( there were a few other things like that, but that's the only one I remembered to make a note of) And how the hell could some drunk off her ass and high as a kite bitch cause so much damn trouble? Without anyone seeing or hearing her? Seriously? Oh and there was a lot of back and forth with the H and h...I love you, I hate you, I love you, I hate you, you hurt me, i love you again, hate you again, but you look amazing naked, so I love you again, but now I hate you again, and I'll never forgive you, but you're hung, so I'll love you again, but oh no you lied, so now I hate you, oh but there's your 8 pack so I love you again....* sigh* it was so damn exhausting! So 1.5 to 2 stars, but keep in mind there are a lot of higher ratings for this one, so it could just be me, and given a chance, you may actually like this one more than I did.
